Promotional Video

Those of you who check out my main blog, "Random Acts of Geekery," probably saw the first version of this video a few days ago... since then, with this separate blog starting up to coordinate things, I've made a slight revision to the end of it to point people here.

Now, you'll notice if you watch it that I've got a logo calling it the "Halloween Countdown," instead of "Countdown to Halloween." That's because I started working on this back in June or July, and didn't know the "official" title at that time... and I kind of dig the logo I came up with. Of course, it doesn't really matter what you call it, so long as it counts down to Halloween, right?

Anyone who wants to post this video to their own participating blog, feel free to do so! And I promise, next year, if I decide to do a new promo video, I'll check with Shawn and John first to see if they've got any logos planned!

No worries Jon, your title logo is great. Besides, that's sort of the spirit of this whole thing, no rules, no guidelines, just everyone doing what they love to celebrate this crazy holiday!

Hi! Jon, (?!?)
This is my first time posting on your blog and I’ am a follower of caffeinated Joe's blog and I followed his links here to your very cool blog.

Because I ‘am in search of a Halloween theme for "me blog" next month.

By the way your blog seem to offer everything "horror" related, but what is really "scary" is that I ‘am really frighten when it comes to scary films.
However, I enjoy celebrating Halloween!...Go Figure!

Thanks,
DeeDee

DeeDee - Added Noirishcity to the list...

Peter Bernard - You video was great. Just out of curiosity, do you do your own 3D modeling? You site is up on the list as well.

Ghostlabs - Strange Kids Club is on the list...

Shawn, the 3D cartoons are sort of like virtual versions of "Robot Chicken" in a sense. I collect 3D items then I rework or repurpose them. The leprechaun is one body with another doll's head, then I reworked the head to look completely different and added a beard and wig. The big worm monster and dragon are just downloads I got for free, the set is a fairyland set I repurposed because I thought it looked like a set Zacherley might do a show on. They're like puppet movies or doll movies, like Gumby or Davey and Goliath, sort of. But I use items which are public domain or allow commercial use, and I try to redo the main characters to look like the characters I draw, so it stays in the same basic style as whatever else I do in a sense. Sorry for the long answer.
