This Year's Participants

WELCOME TO THE 2010 COUNTDOWN TO HALLOWEEN!

If you want to know which houses are giving out the good candy this year, then look no further than the list below. Remember when you stop by to say thank you by leaving them a comment for all the hard work they've put into making Halloween the greatest holiday of the year.

All sites are listed alphabetically. Keep checking back as updates will be made all month long. It's never too late to join in. Just let us know who would like to be included and send us a link to your blog(s) that you'd like to have included.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO PARTICIPANTS: It's nice to see a lot of new faces this year as long as many returning participants. If you don't see yourself on this list, or would like a blog added, removed, or renamed on this list. Please leave a note in the comments section below. Also, please check the comments section here and see if we had problems adding your blog. Every effort was made to contact everyone who participated last year, but a number of last year's participants did not have any contact information attached to their blogs. To simplify things for next year, I'm asking each of you to email me (universalrobots@aol.com) with "Halloween Countdown" in the subject line. Please include a link to your blog. This way I'll be sure to have everyone's emails for next year and no one will be overlooked.

Now that that's out of the way it's time to put on your masks and start trick or treating. Happy Halloween!

  1. I posted every day last year but that's going to be tricky this time. It'll be a cinch posting to my Tumblr everyday but I'm liable to miss a few days on my regular blog. The coffin races aren't until the 30th this year, so that won't be much help.

  2. Ol' Groove is in, as always.

  3. Wow! It's going to be a busy month! :)

  4. Steve - No worries, I think missing days is sort of like a nice hand drawn picture with some flubs rather than an immaculate computer drawing that's stiff with no flubs. Organic and human, and preferred!

    Groovy - Added you!

HS - Yes. Yes it is!

  5. Steve, The point is to have fun, not stress yourself keeping up daily posts. If I didn't start putting mine together in July, I'd never make it, and this year I'm not sure I will).

On that note, HS, it took me until Spring to work my way through everyone's countdowns. It was nice to do it at a leisurely pace that way where I actually got to look at everything, rather than to quickly jump in and leave. It can be just as stressful trying to read every blog every day, as it is to post every day. The only downside is I didn't really leave many comments, since who wants to get any for their Halloween work, in March?

  16. As if prepping the posts each day isn't time consuming enough - now I have hours and hours of blog reading time to squeeze somewhere into my busy lifestyle.

Who am I kidding, I have no life.

    Blog on!

    ;)

  20. You've already pretty much doubled my readership. I don't know if that's the saddest thing ever or if your network of fiends is just that awesome. Thanks a ton, and thanks to everyone who's stopped by the blog. I know I just found the Mother lode for my Halloween needs.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Adam - Cool-M-Dee has been added to the updated list!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Add me also...I wasn't sure if I'd be able to keep up with the race this year, but figured out what I will be doing this time around (and hopefully preparing in advance so they post on their own each day).

    http://universalhorrorsounds.blogspot.com/

    ReplyDelete
  28. ....and here's a Halloween treat for you, John, based on the Scary Spooky Stories cover you have up here for this blog post of the countdown list. I animated it. :-)

    http://img826.imageshack.us/img826/2826/scaryspookystories.gif

You can add a little pizazz to this list by replacing the still image with the animated one (if you want to). I might toss this up on my blog, but won't do so until after you decide how you want to use it here (or not).
